Dr Duncan McGinness

After a lifetime of animal experience with his father Don - a stock and station agent - Dr Duncan celebrated 31 years as a vet in 2017. Married to Maria since 1990, together they share life with their 4 children, 'Browny' their Kelpie and a cat named 'Ziva'. Duncan loves life in Dubbo, its people and their pets including dogs, cats, pocket pets, poultry, birds and reptiles. Has been an avid supporter of WIRES and their wildlife rescue work and enjoys all medical and surgical cases including avian medicine, diagnostic imaging, opthalmology and cattle pregnancy testing. Personal interests include running and swimming. He is a self-confessed rugby tragic and optimist and still expects the Wallabies to beat the All Blacks on every occasion not once every decade! Dr Duncan regularly features on ABC Western Plains radio (95.9 FM) answering listener questions and talking about pet and animal health. Catch him with Dugald Saunders every second Thursday morning.

Dr Megan Kelly Senior Vet

Megan graduated in 2010 from Charles Sturt University Wagga. She worked in mixed practice for 6 years before making the transition to focus on small animal medicine and surgery. Megan enjoys all aspects of veterinary science and the variety that comes with every day but in particular surgery and she has a growing interest in orthopaedics and small animal medicine. Megan hopes to continue participating in continuing education courses as this is such an important part of our job. Since starting Megan said she has already learnt so much and she enjoys being close to her family in Wongarbon. Outside of work she enjoys life on the family farm, holidaying, snow skiing and recently started bee keeping so hoping for a honey harvest soon.

Dr Hannah Edwards

Hannah graduated from the University of Sydney with first class honours in 2016 and joins us as a new graduate. Hannah loves all aspects of veterinary science with special interests for wildlife, avian/reptiles, diagnostic imaging, ophthalmology, behaviour and the human-animal bond. Hannah spent a large portion of her final, practical-based year of university focussing on these aspects of practice, working with wildlife, exotics and zoo vets and specialist radiologists. Hannah is currently working on publishing her honours dissertation in radiography. Outside of work Hannah's interests are popular culture (movies, video games etc), martial arts, painting and spending time with family and pets, including her 3 cats.

Matt Coombs - Duncan McGinness.jpg

Dr Matthew Coombs

Matt graduated from the University of Sydney in 2017 and has joined us for his first job as Vet. He has a keen interest in all types of surgery, and spent as much of his final year of university trying to gain experience in this area. He also enjoys the variety that comes every day, and nothing brightens his day more than a consult with a friendly beagle. Matt doesn’t have any pets at the moment, so he has to talk to his housemate instead. When not at work he enjoys a healthy balance of exercise and videogames, and spends his weekends with his girlfriend driving the countryside hunting for the best burger in the west.

Dr Caitlyn Tremble

Caitlyn graduated from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga in 2018. For the next 6 months she worked and trained at the CSU Referral Hospital as an animal anaesthetist, developing special skills in anaesthesia and analgesia. In early 2019, she made the move to Dubbo to join the DMVS team and persue her interest in small animal medicine. Originally growing up on the Central Coast, Caitlyn has adapted well to the country life style. When not at work you'll find Caitlyn defending the practice honour at social sports, being a trivia whiz, or spending time with her adopted greyhound Sally.
